Okay, I'm not a total blogger looser. Yes, the kids went back to school two weeks ago but then they all got aday off after just 4 days of school. What the...?? If the schools are going to do that, why don't they just start them after Labor Day? It's not like they grow up delayed by not attending those first 4 days of school. What would they miss? unpacking their school supplies, comparing desk arrangements or finding out what day is their Ice Cream Day? Really???
But, all is not lost in my house. Nooooo....I managed to workout at they gym at least 6days before I rotated my knee right out of the socket for the 4th time in as many years! Yep, leave it to me to forget that sideways lunges are not my friend when my knee brace is M.I.A. So, I took off the next 4 days to sit with my leg up, covered in ice and my swollen knee squeezed into my brace like a mexican chorizo (sausage) in a too small casing. No bonita...ahem....Tomorrow I'll try walking on the treadmill. Let's see how far I get. Side note...You know when a BMW (Big Mexican Woman) falls on the floor in sheer pain, it scares little skinny white personal trainers to death? They don't know if they finally killed you or if this is just something mexicans do when they exercise. Whatever they're thinking it must be hilarious because their faces are frozen in sheer terror. Baaahhaaaaa.......
Since I had to stay off my feet for the last four days, I took the opportunity to work on some projects that have been sitting in my office all summer. The first one is a Lunch Box tin for my girlfriend in Kansas City. I started this in July after we visited her and her husband for a long week. Of course July came and went and then I thought I'd send it to her to congratulate her for a new job she got with the Rodeo Cubs in Missouri but, that time came and went. Well her birthday was early September so surely I could get it to her by then. That also came and went. So finally!!! I finished it this weekend and I'm mailing it to her on Monday morning. This is one of those Lunch Box Tins from Provo Craft. It's the perfect size to hold 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" stamped cards. I covered it in some left over Chocolate DSP from SU! (from last year?) and added the the new Riding Hood Red designer ribbon and Chocolate Chip Double Stitched Ribbon for accent. The fabric flowers are some that I had in my stash from who knows where (really? do people really remember who the manufacturer of their products are and where they bought them? I'm good to remember to feed the kids everyday). I included some classy beads from the SU! Pretties Kit and viola, I was done. Of course I had to fill it with cards. That, I already had planned since last July. I found these Rodeo acrylic word sticker thingy's that I bought for my friend anticipating making her a set of cards to use for her new position as head Cow Girl with the rodeo. So I went ahead and made her a set of twelve cards. Here's a couple to see now. I'll post more tomorrow.
Ooooh, great tin and cards! Your friend will love them! The girls are looking fabulous too, getting so big! Hope your knee is getting stronger!

Tisha,
I've decided I'd like to have you come out and live here with me while Chris is deployed. Then we can make all these fun things I have been wanting to make with you! I LOVE your cards, bags, boxes, all of it! We will definitely have to plan some fun craft dates when we see each other next week.
